Same app. Every tool. Honest scores.
We build one real app in each vibe-coding tool and show you what worked and what broke.
Read the first benchmarkWhat we do
Every vibe-coding tool looks great in its own demo. We give each one the same brief for a real app, such as a booking app with real users, real data, and real edge cases. Then we score the result against the same checklist.
We publish the score, the time it took, and the full list of what broke. If a tool needed hand-fixing, we say so. If something only half works, we say that too.
How we score
Each benchmark has a fixed 10-item functional checklist and a 100-point rubric: works end to end (30), time to first working version (15), bugs (15), design (15, averaged across two reviewers), deploy ease (15) and cost (10). We report time to first build separately from time to a verified working app. Full methodology.
The tests

|---|---|---|---|
| Base44 | 92.25/100 | 8–9 min | Read |
| Lovable, Bolt, Emergent, Replit, v0, Cursor, Claude Code | Testing in progress | ||

FAQ
What is BenchCoded?
An independent review site that builds the same real app in each vibe-coding tool and scores it on the same checklist.
Which tools do you test?
AI app builders and coding tools such as Base44, Lovable, Bolt, and Cursor. We add tools as we run each benchmark.
Do you get paid by the tools?
Some reviews contain affiliate links, and we label them. Affiliate deals never change scores or the bug list.
Why the same app every time?
It's the only fair way to compare. Each tool gets the same spec, the same checks, and the same scoring.
Do you show the bugs?
Yes. Every review lists what broke and how serious it was.
How often do you publish?
When a benchmark is finished and verified. Sign up for the newsletter to get each one.
